The Eyeglass Place of Ellington is a full-service optical dispensary with a variety of frame styles available for men, women, and children. With a combined experience of 70 years in the optical field, Karen and Laura are Licensed Opticians and take their time to help you in choosing frames that will best suit your optical needs as well as match your personal style and wants.
Being an independent, family-owned optical shop, we are awarded the autonomy to choose the frame and lens companies that we do business with. Therefore, all of our frames are carefully selected and regularly evaluated to ensure that they continue to meet our quality standards that we expect from our business partners and that our customers have come to expect from us. We work diligently with our frame vendors to maintain current optical trends as well as classic staples and hard to find sizes.
From our years in the industry, we know that there are thousands of different lens designs on the market and that no two lenses are alike. Without the help of a knowledgeable Optician, it’s impossible to know which is the right fit for your needs. We work with several industry leading brands which allows us access to the best lens options available to help customize each individual pair of glasses to their new owner. It’s very important to us that you always leave our office with a solid understanding of what to expect out of your glasses. If at any point there is something that requires more clarification please do not hesitate to ask!
Since each pair of glasses is customized and based on the needs of the individual, we’re not able to accurately give quotes over the phone. We would be happy however, to help you in person!
All of our doctors fit and evaluate contact lenses on both existing and new wearers. We always recommend the latest and greatest contact lens technology that will keep your eyes safe and healthy. Contact lens evaluations can include soft contact lenses, toric (for astigmatism), and multifocal/monovision.
